1. Data We Process

• Identity and contact data: name, e-mail address, phone number
• Booking and transaction data: chat messages, requested tour details (dates, group size, places to visit), proposals and booking records
• Financial transaction data: payment amount, currency, transaction date and iyzico transaction reference
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, log records, cookies

2. Data Controller

Your personal data is processed by Yusuf Sipahi (Proconn Yazılım ve Uygulama), operator of OfficialGuides.com, as data controller within the meaning of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”).

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

Your data is processed for: providing the booking intermediary service and performing the contract; complying with legal obligations; establishing and protecting legal rights (including keeping consent records for payment disputes); and the platform’s legitimate interests in service security and quality (KVKK Art. 5/2-c, ç, e, f).

4. Sharing of Data

Your data is shared only with the following, limited to the stated purposes:

• Your selected guide: details necessary for the performance of the tour (name, contact details, tour details, chat messages)
• iyzico Ödeme Hizmetleri A.Ş.: execution of the payment
• Notification and hosting providers: delivery of booking notifications (including WhatsApp Business Platform / Meta) and technical operation of the platform. Some data may accordingly be transferred to countries where these providers’ servers are located, to the extent necessary for the service and in accordance with KVKK Art. 9.
• Competent public authorities: where legally required

Your data is never sold or rented to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data of Tour Guides

For licensed guides who join the platform, we additionally process the information provided in the application form and guide profile, under the following principles:

• Licence documents: images or copies of official guide licences are used solely to verify your licensed status. They are never published or displayed anywhere — on this platform or elsewhere — and are never shared with third parties. Only your licence number appears on your public profile.
• Photos: your photos are used only on your guide profile on this platform and are not used anywhere else or for any other purpose.
• Contact and personal details: shared only with existing or potential clients in the context of tour enquiries and bookings. They are never shared with any other third party, and are not published anywhere other than your guide profile.

6. Retention

Data is retained for as long as required by the processing purpose and by statutory retention periods (financial records: minimum 5 years under Turkish tax legislation), after which it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

7. Cookies

The platform uses strictly necessary cookies (session, language preference, security) and analytics cookies. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may prevent the chat and payment functions from working.

8. Your Rights

Under KVKK Art. 11 you may request information on whether and how your data is processed, request correction or deletion, object to certain processing, and claim compensation for unlawful processing. Requests sent to [email protected] or to the postal address above are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
